Session Participation Waiver
By registering for and attending a session organised by Bossley Bears Volleyball Club, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Acknowledgement of Risk
I understand that volleyball is a physical and potentially dangerous sport.
Participation in volleyball activities may involve risks including but not limited to:
I acknowledge that these risks may arise from my own actions, the actions of others, or the condition of facilities or equipment.
I voluntarily accept all risks associated with participating in volleyball activities.
2. Recreational Activity Warning
Under the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW), participation in recreational activities involves inherent risks.
By participating in activities organised by Bossley Bears Volleyball Club, I acknowledge that I am engaging in a recreational activity and accept the risks associated with such participation.
I understand that the Club is not liable for harm suffered as a result of risks inherent to recreational activities.
3. Medical Fitness Declaration
I confirm that:

I am medically and physically fit to participate in volleyball activities

I do not suffer from any medical condition that may prevent safe participation

I will notify the Club if I become aware of any medical condition or injury that may affect my ability to participate safely.
I understand that participation is undertaken entirely at my own risk.
4. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and discharge:

Volleyball NSW
-
Volleyball Australia
-
venue operators
-
the Club’s committee members, staff, coaches, volunteers, contractors, and representatives
from any liability for injury, illness, loss, damage, or death arising from my participation in any Club activity.
This release applies except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.
5. Personal Responsibility
I agree that I will:

follow all instructions from coaches or staff

comply with Club rules and policies
-
behave respectfully toward other participants
-
participate in a safe and responsible manner.
I understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the session.
6. Equipment and Facility Use
I acknowledge that I am responsible for using equipment and facilities safely.
I agree to follow all venue rules and instructions provided by Club staff.
7. Photography and Media
I acknowledge that photos or video may be taken during Club activities for promotional or marketing purposes.
By participating in the session, I consent to Bossley Bears Volleyball Club using such images or recordings for promotional purposes including:

social media
-
marketing materials
-
websites
-
Club communications.
8. Guests and Introductory Membership Participants
Participants attending sessions under the Introductory Short-Term Trial Membership acknowledge that:

this membership does not include insurance coverage through Volleyball NSW or Volleyball Australia

participation occurs entirely at their own risk

Bossley Bears Volleyball Club is not responsible for injury or loss arising from participation except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Trial participants accept full responsibility for their participation.
9. Acceptance of Waiver
By completing a booking and attending a session organised by Bossley Bears Volleyball Club, I confirm that:

Bossley Social League 2026
By submitting a registration (team or individual) for the Bossley Social League, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Competition Format
The Bossley Social League is a structured mixed competition operated by Bossley Bears Volleyball Club.
Matches are one hour in duration (inclusive of warm up). Teams compete in a ladder-based format with divisions determined by declared skill level.
The organisers reserve the right to adjust divisions, scheduling, or format where necessary to maintain competition integrity.
2. Registration & Confirmation
Submission of a registration form does not automatically guarantee entry.
All registrations are treated as expressions of interest and are confirmed based on:
• Competition capacity
• Payment receipt
• Division balance requirements
Confirmation will be issued once payment has been received and a position has been allocated.
3. Payment Policy
• Team Registration Fee: $850 per team
• Individual registrations are subject to availability and team allocation
All registration fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable once confirmed.
No refunds will be issued for withdrawal, scheduling conflicts, or failure to attend matches.
4. Individual Player Allocation
Players registering individually acknowledge that:
• Team placement is subject to available numbers
• Team composition is determined by the organisers
• Placement in a specific division is not guaranteed
5. Conduct & Sportsmanship
All players, captains, and team members agree to:
• Abide by competition rules and guidelines
• Respect referees, organisers, and venue staff
• Maintain appropriate sporting behaviour
The organisers reserve the right to issue warnings, suspensions, or removal from the competition in cases of misconduct.
6. Scheduling & Attendance
Teams are responsible for ensuring they attend scheduled fixtures.
Failure to attend matches without reasonable notice may result in forfeits or further disciplinary action.
Fixture times are final once published.
7. Liability
Participation in the Bossley Social League is undertaken at the participant’s own risk.
Bossley Bears Volleyball Club is not liable for:
• Injury sustained during participation
• Loss or damage to personal property
• Circumstances outside reasonable control
Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet any applicable registration or insurance requirements.
8. Agreement
By submitting a registration and completing payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Registration.
