Membership & Pricing

For our Sydney South-West sessions, most players participate through our membership system.

Membership allows players to book volleyball sessions each week, including classes, social games / reps sessions, and drop-in volleyball.

Membership is recommended for players who want to train regularly and be part of the club community.

Membership allows players to book a variety of volleyball sessions each week, including:

  • Classes – structured training sessions to improve volleyball skills
  • Social Games / Reps – flexible sessions where players either play games or practice skills
  • Drop-In Volleyball – casual sessions organised by players themselves
  • Social leagues and club events

Membership provides flexibility to train and play regularly within the Bossley Bears community.

Membership provides access to book sessions, but it does not guarantee a spot in every session.

All sessions have limited capacity to ensure a good playing experience for everyone.

Members can reserve their spot once bookings open.

Session bookings open 7 days before the scheduled session time.

Members can reserve their spot through the booking system once sessions become available.

Because spaces are limited, we recommend booking early to secure your place.

Members can occasionally bring guests to sessions.

Guests must first register with the club and will be booked into sessions manually by our team, subject to session availability.

To get a guest registered, please contact us via email.

This allows new players to experience the club before joining.

Flexible memberships can be cancelled at any time with 2 weeks notice.

All memberships have a 1 week notice to pause/hold - memberships can hold for a total of 6 weeks per calendar year.

Memberships with a commitment period (such as 3-month or 6-month memberships) must complete the commitment period before cancellation.

Early cancellation will result in a cancellation fee.

If you need assistance managing your membership, please contact our team.

If you previously had a subscription membership and cancelled it, you will not be able to register again through the standard sign-up process.

To reactivate or register for a new subscription membership, please contact our team through the Contact Us page on our website. Our team will review your previous membership and assist you with setting up a new subscription.

If possible, please include the email address used for your previous membership so we can locate your account more quickly.

Sessions & Booking

Bossley Bears offers several types of volleyball sessions throughout the week:

Classes – structured training sessions focused on skill development
Social Games / Reps – flexible sessions that run as games or skill practice depending on attendance
Drop-In Volleyball – casual sessions organised by players themselves

These sessions allow players to train, practice, and play regularly.

Social Games / Reps sessions are flexible depending on the number of players attending.

If there are enough players, the session will run as social volleyball games where players rotate teams and play matches.

If attendance is smaller, players may instead practice volleyball skills through repetition drills, such as:

  • Serving practice
  • Passing drills
  • Spiking practice
  • Skill development exercises

These sessions are simply an opportunity to practice and play volleyball and are not related to representative teams.

All sessions have a limited capacity to ensure a good playing experience for everyone.

If a session is full, members can check the booking system later to see if a spot becomes available due to cancellations.

We recommend booking early once sessions open.

If you cannot attend a session, please contact us using the contact page or via email: enquiries@bossleybears.com.au.

All our sessions have a 6 hour cancellation policy. This policy is heavily enforced for unlimited members to ensure you do not take away spots from other members.

Joining the Club

Bossley Bears welcomes players of all ages and skill levels.

Whether you are completely new to volleyball or an experienced player looking to stay active or compete, our club provides opportunities for everyone.

No experience is required.

Many of our members start with little or no volleyball experience. Our beginner classes are designed to teach the fundamentals of the game in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Players will learn skills such as passing, serving, setting, and attacking while building confidence on the court.

Our coaches will help guide you to the most suitable class based on your skill level and experience.

If you are unsure which session to attend, you can contact us and we will recommend the best option to help you get started.

Locations & Schedule

Bossley Bears currently runs volleyball sessions in two regions across Sydney.

Sydney South-West
Bossley Park High School

This location operates under our membership model.

Sutherland Shire
Port Hacking High School

This location operates under a pay-as-you-go system where players can book individual sessions.

Training sessions, social games, and competitions run on various days throughout the week.

Our schedule may change throughout the year as programs expand, so we recommend checking the schedule page for the most up-to-date session times.

Fees & Casual Play

Costs vary depending on how you choose to participate.

Players can either:

  • Join a weekly membership for unlimited session access
  • Purchase individual session passes
  • Pay separate fees for representative teams or competitions

This allows players to choose the option that best suits how often they plan to play.

Yes. We offer casual sessions for $15 per session for social games & $16.5 per session for classes & $18 per session for drop-ins if you prefer to play casually without committing to a membership.

All you have to do is register for the Volleyball NSW insurance, but not our Bossley Bears membership.

However, most regular players choose our weekly membership, which provides unlimited access to book sessions each week and is usually better value if you plan to play more than once.

Competitive Volleyball

Yes.

Bossley Bears competes in the Sydney Volleyball League (SVL) and other competitions throughout the year.

We also run development teams and training programs for players who want to compete at a higher level.

Players interested in competitive volleyball can learn more on our Representative page.
